Logan
Canyon is in Utah. You can take Hwy-89 north out of Evanston (which becomes
Hwy-16 in Utah) to Hwy-30. Turn left on 30 and follow it around the south
end of Bear Lake to US-89 in Garden City. Turn left on US-89 and follow it
through Logan Canyon to Logan. Many,
who have driven through Logan Canyon in the autumn, say that this is the most
beautiful drive in the State of Utah. If you are westbound, the best time to
view the fall colors is about 10 a.m. when the quaking aspen are full gold, shimmering with every little
whisper of breeze.
From Logan, take US-89 to get to the Logan Canyon. When you get to the summit you will find a scenic turnout from which you can gaze
down upon Cache Valley. Off in the distance are the beautiful Monte Cristo
Mountains with their cloak of quaking aspens. Even at night, with the Mormon
Temple in Logan shining with the stars of the city lights surrounding it, the
sight is worth stopping for.
After
you have had your fill of this beautiful view of Cache Valley and the Monte
Cristo Mountains, continue westward on US-91 to Brigham City and exit 364 of
I-15.
