Starting at Catskill (exit 21 of I-87 - NY State Thruway) west past Cairo, Acra and Brooksburg. You are now in Catskill Forest Park. About 11½ miles past Brooksburg Hwy-23-A splits off to the left. Turn left onto 23-A and follow it past Lexington, Hunter, Tannersville, Haines Falls, and Palenville back to Catskill. This is only a 75 mile loop and will take 2½ to 3 hours.

There are over a dozen restaurants in Tannersville covering quite a range of ethnic repasts. This is a good place to stop, relax and indulge

If you have kids with you, you might be interested in the Catskill Game Farm near Cairo. They can tell you all about it at the hotel.
