Fall colors come early to Colorado, typically starting to lose its summer green shortly after Labor Day. By October, most of the Colorado deciduous trees are brown contrasted with the green of the predominant conifers. Expect to see a lot of yellows because of the predominance of aspens and cottonwoods.
